I understand that the amount of PMs is space limited, which is why you are limited to 50.

BUT, its a real PITA to get the full mailbox message. Why not set it up so that once it is filled, it just automatically dumps the oldest message when mailbox is full, AND have a time function (message deleted after 3 months or something). You could also add a "save folder" to save messages that you dont want to be bumped automatically.

Just an idea. Not sure if that is hackable into the board code or not.
