Private Message Question

I hate posting things here.

I feel like such a newbie.

How come there is a 1000 charactor limit on the private messages?
Seems like everytime I have something to say to another member that doesn't really need to be heard by everyone, I have to break it up into 2 seperate messages.

It is meant for short messages. If it is longer than that, it is better suited for e-mail.

are you deleting whats being quoted? if you are not, then it will reach the 1000 limit sooner because its sitll counting whats quoted, not just what you are writing
