Image resizing suggestion

I know that the reason the board resizes images is to keep the page from getting stretched out and keep us from scrolling over forever to read the posts, but can it be done where you can click the picture to see it in fullsize? When certain pictures are resized, they're awful to look at. Right now we've got to right click the picture, get properties, and paste it in a new browser.

Something like this board's resizing would be pretty cool. A bar at the top of the image tells you it was resized, and if you click it, it shows the image at full size.

I already posted them here first.

I really like it as opposed to pasting the picture's URL into a new browser. That's especially a pain in the nuts using the touchpad on my laptop.

I kinda figured SEMA might have had something to do with it. Take pictures and share them with everyone! I almost had a chance to go one year but couldn't make it.

Have you looked into this since getting back from SEMA, or has it been too busy with the cars being sent out?

Yes, and yes.

Sorry all, just overloaded, as usual.

Is it actually something that you can do, or does the board software not support such a feature?

I try to help out making it easier to see pictures in full size by often adding a hotlink below the picture, but that can be time consuming and a general pain in the butt. This thread is one that I added links to, but there are others where I just have way too many pictures to add a hotlink, or it's just trouble I don't feel like going through at the time.

Not supported naively. We usually search for a good plugin, but we are careful on which ones we use. Sometimes they get outdated with board software updates, or are buggy or whatever. We just have to test things thoroughly as the idea is to make things better and not a pain in the ***.

As we always say, cool things are coming. Then again, those big wheels always turn slowly.

Dammit, I hate having a job and a family...

Okay, let's give this one a try and see how well it holds up. Please let me know if you find any bugs, etc.

And because you like me so much, you will order one of these at CZ28Store.Com

Jason -

That is really nice. I don't care for the "Image is resized message" just because I like my images against a solid white/black background typically. Also when you hover over it the picture moves a little bit? I'm assuming thats due to the image is resized thing? I'd just have it very subliminal (which I can tell your going at) and just change the mouse pointer to a magnifying glass when you hover over it.

Also, I'm using Firefox 3.

I noticed that it is working in one of the threads already. Thanks, Jason!

Oh, and I already ordered one. It got here today actually.

I must add that I really like the "next" and "previous" functions.
