I'd like to petition for a new emoticon.

What do you think about this one:

Re: I'd like to petition for a new emoticon.

What would be the typical situation for it to be used?

If, for instance, you said, "No, I am not going to add that emoticon because you're a loser, your mom's a horrible lay, and your cat is ugly", I'd probably be all like .

Hmmm. Should I take that as a "yes and we're going to send you a free gift for making such a great suggestion"?

Just curious, what word would you use between the colons to invoke this smiley? I see that the image filename is "ugh", but it really doesn't look like an "ugh" smiley to me. He looks afraid/nervous.

It's definitely an "ugh" emoticon.

I suppose it would be used when somebody says something ridiculously retarded or completely off-the-wall. As you all know, there will be plenty of posts here where it would be fitting. As in "did you really just say that?" type scenarios.

I like in response to completely retarded comments. Your "ugh" most definitely looks like he's afraid that something could spring up and kill him at any moment.

That's funny. I have never thought that when I look at it. It's always used in the context I described at OT.

I agree...I think it looks morelike an "uh-oh" than an "ugh".

Yeah, I know. I was using the second one to show that his face fits the "WTF" scenario.

EDIT: You know what? If you don't like it, fine. I'll just take my internets and go home.

I like it, but I don't want to add any more that don't get used because people don't know what they mean.

How about we add it as an "uhoh"? Seems to make more sense?

Okay. As long as you add it, I'm happy.
