Just curious, what word would you use between the colons to invoke this smiley? I see that the image filename is "ugh", but it really doesn't look like an "ugh" smiley to me. He looks afraid/nervous.

 

It's definitely an "ugh" emoticon.

I suppose it would be used when somebody says something ridiculously retarded or completely off-the-wall. As you all know, there will be plenty of posts here where it would be fitting. As in "did you really just say that?" type scenarios.

 

I like in response to completely retarded comments. Your "ugh" most definitely looks like he's afraid that something could spring up and kill him at any moment.

 

That's funny. I have never thought that when I look at it. It's always used in the context I described at OT.
