I notice that when I post a new thread or reply to an existing one for that matter, an envelope with a seal appears. I have not seen it on any other posts which makes me ask "Am I doing somthing wrong?" This envelope is not listed below and I did not know where to look in FAQ.

 

The dot means you have posted in the thread or started the thread.

 

Look at the bottom of the page, it explains all of them except the dot...which Jason explained above.

 

Oh..... So the dot that I am seeing is just a (for lack of a better term) "bookmark" for the user? For example, if I am the only one to post on a thread, I would be the only one to see this dot? I hope I worded that right.

Right, the dot would show up only to the people who have posted in the thread. Look in the threads you didn't post in. See a dot? No? I rest my case.

Thanks Jason. Please excuse my lack of knowledge on the computer. I don't spend much time on line other than at sites like this one. Most of my time is spent under the hood. Not seeing the dot on other posts had me thinking that I was doing something wrong and it was being marked somehow.
