Cold air induction help

working on my 81 z28 and the cold air induction slide switch work good and the flaps open when I manually trigger the switch. The problem is when the gas pedal is pushed down it about 1” away from making contact with the slide switch
is there something missing from the pedal ? Or the switch?
any info would be helpful.

Re: Cold air induction help

I’m going to move this to the “General 67-02 F-Body Tech”. Forced Induction is primarily for supercharger and turbo applitions.

I will also caution the the active membership here has dropped off significantly, leaving it mainly active only for 4th Gen LT1 owners. Hopefully, by chance, we will have a 2nd Gen owner who can help you out. But be patient.
