Is ZFX necessary? Can I get the same results just using Z- 1and Z-2?
I used Z1 for a couple years with the polishes before ZFX came out. You'll still get great results using Z1+Z2 or Z5. Z1 is only used twice a year or every 10 coats of polish though. The benefits of ZFX make Z1 sort of obsolete. ZFX allows 3 coats per day versus 1 with normal Z2/Z5. ZFX dries much quicker, adds durability, and makes the polishes easier to work with i.e. spreading and buffing. And, you can use ZFX on every single coat of polish. So, for the BEST results, I'd use ZFX but you can still easily use Zaino with Z1 if you like, the way many of us used Zaino for a long time.

With a mixture of ZFX/Z2, it should dry in 15 to 30 minutes depending on the temp. After you buff it off, you can immediately apply another coat, wait and buff again, then apply the final third coat for the day. Without ZFX you can only do 1 coat per day. It's up to you...
ZFX is in a 2ml vial and must be mixed with the polishes. There's no way it could be used by itself... ZFX Vial
