Cool ZFX-cellent

Wow, I guess that about says it all. Although I've had my ZFX since June I've not been able to use it until yesterday. It totally blew my socks off. I thought my car looked good last summer, this is incredible! The shine really IS deeper and glossier than ever. I did three coats yesterday of ZFX/Z2 with Z6 in between and I have to admit, I walked up the block just to see it sitting there in the driveway, smiling back at me. Everyone who drove by took a good long look at it. My husband was so impressed that this morning he announced he was removing the Meguiar's from his 'Vette and so of course I got roped into claying and Zaino-ing again today.

The only thing I wondered about is this, did anyone else notice that the ZFX/Z2 combo is a little more finicky to remove than the plain Z2? I know it was very humid yesterday and took a little longer than it should have to dry but I did see a couple places where it looked slightly smeary last night under the lights. They wiped right off but it just seems "wetter" somehow than the old Z2 by itself. Or am I imagining this? Or is it something in the new formula?

How is Sal going to be able to top this coup? Should be interesting. . .

Thumbs up

Great news Rox!

The ZFX is certainly a one of a kind product and your results pretty much "mirror" mine when I first tried it. After the third coat I was floored! Hmmm, maybe you have a point and that's why we get so many stares from onlookers hehehe. I've even got some guys at the office wondering about my car! I did the Z1+Z2 treatement today myself, but I will use ZFX again afterwards for each coat. I still have a hangup for Z1 and like to use it too.

I think the humidity is the big factor. It's extremely hot and humid here today and the polish was a tad bit harder than normal to remove. But, in my case it was probably caused by the two products drying and curing on the finish as well. With ZFX it really makes the polish bond stronger than regular Z2 or Z5 alone. Sometimes this stronger bond to the paint makes it a little tougher to buff, especially on the horizontal surfaces. But, in the end the benefits of greater durability, and a georgeous deep wet shine after 3 coats makes the buffing seem irrelevant, at least to me anyhow.

Sal is always working on new ways to make his products better. Who knows, maybe sometime in the future the ZFX chemical(s) will be preadded to the polishes in some way. That would be killer IMO. I know of a couple things Sal is currently working on that should be very interesting!

Enjoy the Z!

Mike

Well, so great minds DO think alike! I was just pondering that potential today as I was mixing up a batch of ZFX/Z2 for hubby's 'Vette - that it would sure be nice if the two products could be combined into one. Not that I mind shaking it for 90 seconds, I just would like it if I didn't have to scrub out the bottle afterwards. . . Is this possibly something Sal is also pondering? C'mon, Mike, you can tell us, we won't tell anyone.
