Zaino vs. Liquid Glass
Zaino vs. Liquid Glass
Has anyone ever used Liquid Glass on their cars? I am trying to decided between the two products! I know very little about Zaino but I know liquid Glass acts as a great paint protectant against fading, chips, scratches etc. Any feedback would be great!!
Our shops applied LQ for about 10 years, good product years ago, it's still better durablity than most products, but you may want to pick up a copy of The Wax Test www.gurureports.org , you would find that LQ finished 31st of the 46 products tested, and Zaino won the test by a large margin.
I liked Liquid Glass, but I'd take Zaino over it anyday.
LG gets real powdery when taking it off, it always left a lot of product int he body seams that needed cleaned up (maybe it's because I was too sloppy
)
Zaino lasts longer, IMO, and stuff washes off much easier after Zaino compared to LG.

I've got a can of Liquid Glass at home collecting dust. It's actually not a bad product for something local, but it does have some issues that Zaino doesn't.
LG: Contains cleaners/abrasives so it won't layer, does leave some dusting after buffing, can be tough to buff. However it does leave a good kinda mirrored shine and has better durability than most carnauba waxes you'll find in stores.
Zaino: No abrasives or cleaners so it will layer, no power/dust upon buffing, very easy to apply and remove, great shine (a notch or two above LG), unmatched durability and protection.
Overall, I'd rate LG a step or two down from Zaino, but that's not to say the product is no good. If you can live with it's shortcomings, I'm sure you'd probably like it. I do feel it's a bit overpriced though at $20+ a can. BTW, Finish First and AstroShield are VERY similar to LG......very.
I think the last time I used LG was actually on a bathroom sink.....lol

I use Liquid glass on my 2000 Z28 and so far its the best product I've used. Its lasts longer then the other ones you find at local car shops and for me its had a really good shine. I have yet to try Zaino though, but thats basically because my friend had it applied to his car at a body shop after some work and my car was just as shiny as his, so found no need to try zaino yet.
I've been a liquid glass user for years in the past. It put a nice shine on my vehicles and left them slippery to the touch, overall it was a pretty good product. Now for Zaino. My roommate uses Zaino on his Firehawk and even after days without washing it still shines. It almost seems like the dirt slides right off. Although my vehicle may be covered in pollen and we both polished our vehicles at the same time,the pollen does not stick to his for some reason. I am going to try the Zaino in the near future. It may cost more,,but when it comes to protecting our vehicles,,a little extra $$ doesn't matter to me.As for the shine,,they both look about equal to me,when first applied ,but I've heard avid Zaino users tell people different. I think the Zaino overcomes other products in durability and last when others need to be applied again..
