Zaino users, read this:
It is not what you think it is, I am not ready to announce the release of ZFX just yet.
What this post is about is the use of Z-1, many have reported how long it takes for the Z-1 and 2/5 combo to dry. After witnessing other people besides myself apply Z-1 and 2/5 at the F body show in Bowling Green, I have finally hit on what many are not doing correctly with Z-1, and I confirmed this in tests done on my own car.
What people are NOT doing correctly is rubbing in the Z-1 fully, in other words leaving too much standing on the surface before putting 2 or 5 on top.
When you first wipe Z-1 on the paint, you see little bubbles or "*****" of the product, you shoud keep rubbing the Z-1 into the finish until it almost goes away totally and only looks like a haze or film on the paint, kinda like steam on the surface. It takes 4 or 5 wipes to get this to work out, just one pass with Z-1 is not enough, this is what Sal means when he says let the Z-1 haze. Use firm pressure when rubbing Z-1 INTO the finish, doing this will make Z-1 and 2/5 dry in less than an hour, less than 30 min. in my case.

But isn't the idea behind Zaino NOT to have to use firm pressure to rub anything into or off of the paint? I was under the impression this was the case; I applied the Z-1 and Z-5 and had not a problem with them drying. It was a really hot day, though...

You don't need to use alot of pressure, just rub as needed until it has been rubbed onto the surface completely

KevinSS,
Maybe a better way to state what you have said is to "apply even pressure while applying Z1 to have even and consistent coverage of the product" I only apply enough pressure with all Zaino products to make sure I get full coverage. Just remember that a little Zaino goes a long way!
