Zaino Swirl Remover!

Finally!

Z-PC Fusion Dual Action Paint Cleaner Swirl Remover

Zaino always outdoes the competition, so I expect this time to be no different. I've been wanting to try a scratch remover since I have a few very light scratches, so now is the perfect time.

I believe it's quite new, so I'm not sure if anyone has tried it yet, but if so, I got a few questions...

1. If I have small scratches only on my fender, can I do just that fender, or is it better to just do the whole vehicle?

2. Since I already have ~10 coats of Zaino on my car, can I just use this over the Zaino, or do I have to remove the Zaino first (using Dawn) and then apply?

Re: Zaino Swirl Remover!

I got to try a "sample", and it's great

To answer your questions; You could do just the fender, but being **** about my car, I'd probably go over the entire vehicle. But that's not necessary. If the rest of the car is w/o blemishes, just d the fender.

Second, you don't need to wash with Dawn. Just use Fusion, and follow up with some Z2 or Z5

Re: Zaino Swirl Remover!

So fusion is an effective stripper of existing zaino, by itself? I guess that makes sense, but I just wonder if that would in turn make the fusion less effective?

Smack!

"diminishing abrasive system... Z-PC breaks down the finish including Zaino polishes."

... how fast did you go through the 8oz bottle so I know whether to get one or a "case".

I'm still quietly hoarding my Z8. I don't tell anyone about that stuff.

Hey Ron

I still have alot left...I only tried it on a couple of areas I'm going to see my distributor today to get a bottle along with some more supplies. My sister's "Mutt-Stang" (joking) is the "guinea pig", so I'm trying the 'Fusion' on her problem areas.

I WON'T TELL ANYONE ABOUT Z8 Great stuff

Re: Zaino Swirl Remover!

That's funny... I use Carol's Monte Carlo as the "test car".

But I feel pretty confident with Sal's stuff, so I'll have to venture to the online zainobros.com site and order a few bottles of that and something else, which I won't mention, because I don't everyone using up the Z8 on me. I think that stuff should only be sold to diehard fans along with proof of ownership of a black vehicle. But that's just my opinion...

I got some Z8... it's nice, and all, but since I don't really 'show' my car, it just seems like a waste to me since it wears off in a couple of weeks anyhow.

Re: Zaino Swirl Remover!

Is this the same type of substance as the 3m swirl and scratch remover? I was just at the Zaino web site and I think it still mentions using the 3m to remove swirls(I think I read it in the FAQ). I have a black IROC, no scratches, but lots of swirls. Which should I get? I have a shopping cart full of other Zaino products, and am wondering if I should add this or buy the 3m.

Re: Zaino Swirl Remover!

I didnt like it at all it didnt get ay of the fne scratches out but it did make a lot of new fine like swirl mark things, I liked the 3m stuff way better, I did use the zaino fusion stuff by hand though if that made a difference Im affraid to use it with a random orbital.

Re: Zaino Swirl Remover!

It seems the general consensus thus far is negative towards the swirl remover.

Yeah.. definitely sounds like it.
I just ordered some this morning (added it to a order my friend made to save on shipping)
I might try it in a hidden area first before doing a whole car.

That's ridiculous if it actually makes the swirls WORSE and the only response we can get is "well, try using an orbital buffer". If that's really necessary then it should be advertised to require that and not be applicable by hand. I really don't want to buy a buffer just for this purpose.

Re: Zaino Swirl Remover!

Well I tried it again with a random orbital buffer and a foam pad, the results...
were even worse, I even tried a mist of water like I read on the website and still the same. So my conclusion is that this is a horrible product, at least my my black car. So after wasting a lot of time on the Z-PC, I went back to the 3M swirl remover, Z5, Z2 pro, and Z6 and the car looks almost perfect. I was really just hoping that Zaino really did make a superior swirl removing product.

Re: Zaino Swirl Remover!

Will it make my car grow wings and fly like the other Zaino products do?

I have no problem with Zaino, in fact I have it on my car right now. However, you guys need to chill out, and remember it's just wax

BTW, it's just like any other abrasive polish that doesn't leave oils behind. Abrasive polishes are abrasive polishes, nothing can really be OMGINCREDIBLE about it. Good product? sure. Holy grail of detailing? No.
