Zaino newbie

well, ive been using small brand name/no name brand crap from autozone, etc... well ive been on the board for a couple of months now, and never real been in this section, but i have looked now and again... well i just saw a pic of someone '96 red camaro that uses zaino, all i can say is "WOW!" its crazy, paint looks new! well im basicly starting from scratch...

what is everything i need, ive heard the z-5 is best for dark colors (i have a black '98) would you recomend an electric buffer? or is by hand best?

and clay, from what i can tell, its basicaly just cleans the surface real good eh? if not, plz explain, hehe, i performed a search and everything, just couldnt see anything for the specific questions...

thx a mil

Zaino is all done by hand, it contains no abrasives so it needs no buffer to work it into the paint. Most would get:

Z-1 or ZFX but not both
Z-5 Show Car Polish for dark colors/swirls
Z-6 Gloss Enhancer
Z-7 Show Car Wash
Z-18 Clay Bar

The above is a complete package for the paint.

"and clay, from what i can tell, its basicaly just cleans the surface real good eh?"

Correct, removes any bad stuff from the paint that should not be there.

I use a combination of Z2/Z5, along with everything else Kevin mentioned, on my red '99 and as you can see from the pic in my sig, it definitely looks new. It's 4 years old now, but you can't tell by looking at it.

Zaino is not sold in any stores, either thru the home office www.zainobros.com or thru distributors.

My vote is to buy through Kevin(the one that actually sells Zaino)!
