Zaino info

This year, I'd like to give Zaino a try. Is the starter kit a good buy? The instructions on the site look pretty detailed -- do I need to know anything else?

Is there anywhere I can buy Zaino products at retail, or is online my only option?

My Grand National is dusty, but otherwise clean and the paint is in good shape (typical of a car that has sat covered for six months). What is the easiest way to get the dust off? Do I need to go through all of the usual cleaning steps, or can I just use something like those static-cling dust rags (Pledge Grab-It, for instance)?

And another question: if I bought the ultimate starter kit ($116), how many washes should I expect it to cover?

Re: Zaino info

One of the kits would be alright. You might also consider buying Z8.

NEVER EVER touch your paint with anything like the Pledge Grab-It! That will be good for nothing but scratches. The only correct way to clean a dirty vehicle is to wash it.

All the products are concentrated and meant to be used very sparingly. You will go through the car wash and the quick detailer faster than any other product, but they should still last 15+ washes.

Zaino can be purchased at the online store or through your nearest distributer. Contact Sal and ask him if theres one close to you.

Re: Zaino info

listen to ZaneO when he tells you it goes a long way. i mixed about 1.5 ounces of z5 and z2 with the zfx and could have probably done almost 2 cars.

Re: Zaino info

with practice you may get down to using 1/4 ounce per layer.

There are kits containing most everything you would need but you can order just the items you want individually. You can get more info at the Zaino website or do a search here.
