zaino, help me with this black car

hey guys, here is my black 98 camaro
http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...page_id=307587

it has some swirl marks and the paint could be better. i have used meguiars cleaner wax. it works good but could be better and last longer. what zaino products do you recomend? i suppose im looking for something to get rid of containminets and swirls while giving it super awesome shine and protect it from the elements. i know alot of you guys are using multiple different products and layering and all that. i dont have a show car but i want the finish to be like a show car within one day of detailing. im a fairly busy person and want the best shine in least amount of time. what products do you reccomend and in what order?

first of all, speaking from experience, the Megiures cleaner wax shine is so crappy compared to the Gold Class shine....on the Zaino i just bought some and havent got to use it yet but i ordered:
Z1, Z2, Z5, Z6, Z7...i already have a mothers clay bar im gonna use but if you dont have one get Z18 too...if you've never clayed your car i highly recommend it, it leaves teh paint VERY smooth...

what if i used mothers claybar then washed the car again and then meguiars gold class? would that be slick enough? it is neccessary to wash between claybar and wax? is the goldclass just wax or polish or cleaner or what? id think i would need only a polish/wax after clay because the paint would already be 'clean' enough

I think your car looks pretty good. My dad had a 96 Z with a lot of swirl marks on the car. He went to the Chevy dealership and they sell some GM swirl remover wax which looked pretty good, but didn't last all that long. On my black TransAm (in my sig), I use Zaino (I feel it looks pretty good too for being 9 years old and sitting out the majority of the time). I have a lot of their products, but for the most part now all I use is the Z5 (works the best in my opinion on black cars). I didn't clay bar it either-just use their soap, then throw on the Z5 and I'm done-and it lasts a long time.

I clayed my SS right off the truck and it made a big difference. Claying is an important part of the surface prep if you want the optimum results, regardless of which product you plan to use.

I'd get the Z-5 polish, Z-6 enhancer spray, Z-7 car wash, Z-18 clay bar and the ZFX additive. Also get 100% cotton towels and wash mitts and develop a VERY gentle touch. Depending on how bad the swirls are will determine how many coats of Z-5 would be needed to fill them in. You want to make sure you aren't constantly putting in new swirls or it will be a loosing battle.
