Question Zaino and CDs

I am wondering what Zaino products I can use (if any) to improve my CDs.

I have a few with some bad scratches and wondered whether either the glass or plastic polish would be ok to use. And, whether or not Z-2/Z-5 would help.

I admit that I don't know how the surface of the CD corresponds to it being picked up. I'm thinking there is some sort of coating over the actual data pits, so that a polish would work ok and not harm the data. Is that right?

Thanks!

A little Z5, a little Z6....good as new! Not too sure if the CD lens would interfere with the polish coating though, but I doubt it since Zaino is nearly optically perfect.

Definitely don't use abrasives though!

Hmm, using Zaino to clean/fix a CD...
Never thought of that! I'm gonna have to try that

Z-14 is a good product to use on CD's to help with micro marring and then coat with Z-2 or Z-5 and clean with Z-6. Can't use Z-12 however.

Yes, the data pits are actually deep inside the CD so coating the surface with something to reduce the effects of scratches won't fill them in. Any kind of surface treatment like this won't fix a scratch, though the CD may look better to the naked eye.
