where can I get a clay bar?
not one of the zaino ones, jsut a plain old clay bar?
the product I'm using can't be bought uless I take a 2 hour driver(I bought it at a car show) down to their store, and I don't feel like making the trip

Autozone typically only has the Meguiars clay bar, which you should avoid at all costs!
Advance auto and Pep Boys both have the Mothers Cali gold claybar. For me, advance is typically cheaper. 13.99 if I remember correctly.

moparman is right on. Clay Magic, Mother's, 3M, all good or decent quality and will get the job done. Available at most parts stores and some discount stores, like WalMart.
I'd personally choose the CM blue bar though as it's a little bit bigger than the Mother's, and the fact that the Mother's kit comes with wax which drives the price up slightly. Both will work, nothing wrong with either.... I wish they'd just sell the bar and nothing with it honestly. Even when buying the CM kit, I never used the Body Shine, as it's loaded with silicone.
