Question when to apply Z6 after wiping Z2/Z5 off

Is it okay to apply the Z6 QD immediately after wiping off the Z2/Z5? Does the Z2/Z5 need to cure prior to the Z6 application for improved results? I normally allow the Z2/Z5 to dry for 24hrs in dust-free garage before buffing off. Would this long drying time be also considered part of the curing time? If I Z6 one day can I just Z2/Z5 several days later (car not driven - in garage)?

Yes, it's ok to Z6 after each and every coat of Z2/Z5. It doesn't affect the curing of the polish in any way. In fact, Sal even recommends it for increased slickness and gloss.

There's really no need to allow Z2/Z5 to dry for 24 hours unless you're in a really cold climate. You can let it set on the paint as long as you like, of course, but that just invites dust settling on your paint, even in a dust-free environment. As far as I know, there is no real benefit to leaving it on that long. As soon as it's dry, it's ready to wipe...

Yes, you can apply Z2/Z5 over Z6 and vice versa. Just wait a day between coats of Z2/Z5. Z6 is meant to work with the polish so you can apply it whenever you like, both before and/or after.

Hope this helps.

I've used the Z6 immediately after removing the Z2 with no problems. I've also used Z2 immediately after wiping down with Z6, again with no problems.
