What tire shine do you use?
What tire shine do you use?
I am searching for some good tire shine that is easy to use and does not contain any silicone. I have read that silicone will actually deplete the rubber's protectants over time and can cause the tire to turn brown in color. Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys for all the advice and input. I have decided that I am going to order the Zaino Z16 tire shine as it does not have any silicone. Once I get it and use it, Ill let you guys know how it goes.
Just wanted to let you all know of what I went with and my results. Well guys I went with the "Armor All Extreme TireShine Gel" after I looked at the price of the Zaino Tire Shine. I used the ArmorAll on Tuesday and it worked GREAT! It went on so easy and looks amazing. The only complaint that I have is that it seems to attract a lot of dust after a couple times of driving.
Re: What tire shine do you use?
I have heard, and seen that Armor All over time can crack and damage plastics and rubber. I have heard that Silicone is the best to protect rubber. As far as the silicone goes, it isn't from anything I have read, just what I have heard when I used to detail cars for a living.
I personally have used silicone on my tires for years, and it has always worked great with no bad effects.

Silicone helps preserve rubber (I'm not a scientist, just what I observe from using it). If you get tire spray with silicone in it, you can also use it on your weather stripping to both protect and renew its looks.
I use STP brand usually because it is inexpensive, sprays on, doesn't need to be wiped off, and doesn't make the tires look gross and glossy, just a nice new black.
