Re: What should I Expect to Pay??

For a shop that knows how to do it right.

Expect $250-500 depending on paint brand.

Generally about $350 for a shade tree painter, like my GF's brother

Re: What should I Expect to Pay??

So just curious, what exactly should I ask for to find out if a shop is going to do a paint job properly? (Vs a shop that doesn't do it right)

Re: What should I Expect to Pay??

Find out what steps the shop uses to prepare a car for painting.

Find out what kind of products they use compounds/paint/clears...etc. etc.

Alot in a paintjob is "SKILL". Have you seen some automobiles that roll out of the paintshop? If so...how do they look?

Re: What should I Expect to Pay??

check out other work they have done. That will tell you the real story. And don't look at it as soon as it comes out of the shop. Give it a couple of months.
