What parts on a 4th gen are made of what?
What parts on a 4th gen are made of what?
I am curious what parts on our cars are fiberglass, steel, plastic.
I am guessing, but I think the bumpers, berger panel area, and front fenders are plastic. My hood is steel, the roof and a arms are fiberglass... What about the doors and rear fenders? The reason why I ask is because I will be repainting my car.

what parts are fiberglass and what are plastic? I am wanting to use bulldog and it will eat the fiberglass gel coat. I want to make sure I am only using it on the plastic parts.
Re: What parts on a 4th gen are made of what?
Metal: Hood, Rear Quarter Panels
Fiberglass: Roof, Doors, spoiler, hatch
Plastic: Front bumper, Front quarter panels, Rear bumper, rear burger panel
Is this information correct?

There are no "front quarter panels". They are called Fenders.
Quarter panels in the back and made of steel...
Fenders in the front.
The fenders are made of the same thng as the front and rear bumper covers.
It's a flexable plastic material.
The doors, hatch, tail panel, ramair hood(if equipped), spoiler and roof are all SMC or Fiberglass.
Non-ramair stock hoods are steel.
