Post What is the next best wax/polymer

I am not going to use zanio, what is the next best wax/polymer sealant on the market? Are there any others that don't use carnauba wax?

Hmmm, IMO next best goes to... Klasse Sealant Glaze. Good product, bright shine, decent durability.

You can also find Liquid Glass locally in AutoZone. Also a decent product, fair durability, nice shine. Both are sythetic protectants, but nothing like Zaino...

Just curious, why wouldn't you want to use the best there is? ZZZZzzzz...

Cool

heheheheee!!

mike you know i gotta take you up again on who's the best

in my view. Klasse is superior to Zaino. the mirror shine and simple two bottle application is unbeatable in my book.

zaino gets the first-runner-up vote

So Foxbat can Klasse Sealant Glaze be only bought online or do they sell them in stories. And is that it or is there any other synthetic polish/wax out there?

There are many other synthetic protectants out there. The only problems with them IMO is that they either contain cleaners, which means the product can't truly layer, and/or they are polymer/wax blends which means they won't be as durable as a true synthetic.

Some other synthetic polymer blends I know of are, Meguiar's #20 Polymer Sealant, Mother's Reflections Polish, NuFinish, Turtle Wax Formula 2001, Liquid Glass, Finish First, Meguiar's Gold Class, Medallion, etc etc... You can find several of these locally if you look around. There are probably less than 5 or so true synthetic sealants that have the capability to layer after each coat, none of the above fall into that category.

foxbat,
I knew I could call you out from behind your bottle of SG...

jim,

in addition to mike's excellent post, i just wanted to add that Klasse can only be purchased online or via catalogs. the company i listed above is excellent to deal with. there are also companion products that go along with klasse (acrylic detailing spritzes, tire gloss, wheel cleaners etc).

i highly recommend klasse..give it a try, you will not be dissapointed.

To follow up on what foxbat said. I have been using Klasse for a fairly short time, since Novemeber. I have been impressed with the results I've gotten. Never seen a car with Zaino in person so I really can't compare the two. Not much help am I? Anyhow I thought I'd share with you a picture of my results with Klasse.

2 SC Zs that looks amazing. I think I might go with Klasse instead of Zaino. I believe that Zaino is probably the best. With the layering it only makes sense that layering would give the best result. But my car will never be show car there for I don’t see putting all that extra time into the layering. Now with Klasse you have one step (maybe two if I do the extra high gloss sealant glaze) and you get from what foxbat and 2 SC Zs say a excellent resault, probably only second to Zaino.

I've tried Klasse, but not their glaze. I was impressed with it. We use it on our aircraft (234 Chinooks and BV107 Vertols) where I work. Holds up very, very well to exposure as well as jet fuel, hydraulic fluid, and maintenance people!

It cleans very well, but the polish does not fill/hide swirls very much (IMHO), although as I said I have not tried the glaze. Quick, easy to use, and pretty good DOI (depth of image) and gloss.

A good product. I use it on my wife's car. Periodic washings with Klasse in the bucket help keep it going strong. Been on her car about 9 months now.

We have a local dealer in my area.

ahhh...but don't foget, jim, that Klasse SG IS designed to be layered (just like zaino). you can put as many layers as you wish..each one adding depth and gloss like you've never seen.

Yeah, what he said. I don't recall how many coats of glaze I had on the truck at that time but at most it was only 3. I'm betting on 2. Either way even after the first coat this stuff is impressive.
