What is the best paint that is very hard and won't chip alot from rock chips, I was told PPG is the good? Is there anything else better and stronger than PPG?

You're looking for a strong paint that won't chip...it should be the other way around.

Hard paint gets lots of rock chips, soft paint does not get as much. This comes at a price - soft paint will become marred very easily, so you need to be much more careful when washing/drying.

My car is done in PPG, but i don't think you'd be going wrong with Dupont.

Part of the key to chip resistances is putting only as much paint as you need on. If you don't need extra coats for a kandy color or other effects, don't have any extra base or clear laid down. You would think that extra clear would protect more, but it just becomes more chip prone.

I like PPG, but I like BASF/Glasurit's clear coat and metallic colors.....

PPG base coat is pretty good but I am iffy on their clear coat
