Wax Tips?

I just got done Clay-Barring and waxing my Z. Douring the waxing it kind of dawned on me... Do I even know what I'm doing?

Anyone have any good waxing advise to get good results?

I usually just go by:
Wash and dry car first....Apply wax to an even haze in circular motions, move on. To remove, rub in circular motions the opposite way, and buff to a shine..

Re: Wax Tips?

I recommend washing/drying/waxing in straight motions to help minimize the appearance of swirls.

Re: Wax Tips?

i use meguiars and usually only get swirls when i wax in the sun, only done that twice, so my tip is wax in a shady area when car body is cool

Re: Wax Tips?

I waxed clay'd and waxed in the shop earlier, out of the sun. It took care of some of the swirls.... The cley helped, but not as much as I thought. But, my paint is pretty good as it was. They cley took a lot of crap off my back bumper, I felt it.

Anyway, I'll have to try that NXT or what ever they were talking about in that last thread.
