Towelling Off Pollen
Ok, so, I read somewhere (I now forget where), that the best solution to removing bug guts & the like while on the road is to just carry a towel around and brush them off (no water, just the towel).
I did this, it looks good, I don't SEE any apparent scratches that I don't think were already there, but is this really a safe & sound practice? Can you do this? Should you buff at all (for really icky bugs)?

Are you asking about pollen or bugs as the title to your thread says pollen but the body of your post talks about only bugs?
I do not see how you can remove bugs with a dry towel, I carry a bottle of detailer spray and a towel with them to remove bugs when you get where you are going.
