Re: Tire shine?

Jet wet is the best stuff I have ever used.

Just spray on let it dry for a couple minutes, and it stays shiny until I have to wash my car again.

Have some news paper with you though to block over spray from getting on paint. It makes little greasy spots if you don't.

Re: Tire shine?

Meguiars NXT insane tire shine works great! Goes on good and stays on the tires (doesnt sling).

Re: Tire shine?

I like Meguiars Hot Shine tire shine. It's a basic spray on and works well. I try to use tire spray when I know I won't be driving for about 4 hours or more because it will sling everywhere and have little greasy spots everywhere.

I've been told not to use silicone based tire spray, but it lasts longer and shines better I think... but it looks horrible when it does wear off...

I used the Eagle 1 tire shine before the Hot Shine and it would completely wear off after about 5-6 days or so, the Hot Shine will become less shiney over the same course of time, but it only becomes a dull shine if anything, still looks very good though.

Re: Tire shine?

Zaino Z16, Meguiar's Natural Shine, and Armor All original are my favorite dressings. I apply all of them with a tire swipe.

Re: Tire shine?

Ehhh, Armor All is ok, I use the Tire Foam stuff from time to time, and it's not too bad, no sling from what I notice. One product I reccommend you stay away from is the DuPont Teflon tire dressing. I got some thinking "well, it might keep the grime off the tires." Well, turns out it is a pain to apply (always gets on wheels and everywhere else) and it slings. Durability wise it's great, but that's not enough for me to offset the disadvantages. I wanted to get the Stoners stuff but I couldn't find it anywhere. Any suggestions on places that carry it. I've tried almost every place here.

Re: Tire shine?

I use a whole bunch of different products, try something different each time. I like the Meguiar's NXT tire shine product, but if you let it dry on a powdercoated rim (or put it on while the tire is in direct sunlight) it REALLY dulls the finish of the wheel until you get it off (obviously) but it keeps a shine forever and I haven't noticed it really slinging off at all.

They got an O-Reilleys around here you know? Or a website that I can check the store locations?

Re: Tire shine?

Eagle-1 is an awesome spray-on tire shine! Easily the best stuff OTC that I've seen yet.

Re: Tire shine?

Go figure. O'Reilleys has stores in IN and KY but not OH.
Well, I"ll keep looking, and if I don't find it, I'll give that Eagle1 stuff a try maybe. I wonder how the NXT will do as well.
