from the angle the pic is at, looks like polished aluminum.

chrome normally is going to have that pure, mirror like/silver finish
polished aluminum always seems, at least to me, that there is some white underlying in there.

Unless the pic is screwy, I say that the wheels are polished. Chrome wheels look like a mirror whereas polished wheels have that sterling silver look.

they look like a polished alloy....I have the same kinda wheels on a 94 Z28 I had bought and they were faded and dull the best thing to use or really bring out a shine in them is Blue Magic it is a polishing cream for all different kinds of metals............

To my knowledge, GM only put silver painted wheels and chrome wheels on the '93-'97 f-bodies. I don't know the Pontiac stuff very well though... but I would assume they are chrome or polished aluminum with clear coat on top.

Pontiac OEM 17" WS6 wheels , the 97-01.5 polished style and the 01.5-02 speedline style are all polished aluminum topped with a clearcoat . Given the clearcoat you would use the same polishes , compounds and sealents/wax's you would use on your paint surface . NOT metal or aluminum polish .
