I have used WD-40 I think you can buy tar remover at autozone that should be okay.

Yup, get tar remover. I hit my fender with my pressure-washer first to remove most of it. Damn tar.

wd-40 and a rag... takes a while, then wash the car... it should turn out fine.. be meticulous.
