I know there are many of you who use these clay bars. Is there a way i am suppost to do it; am i just suppost to get the clay bar and rub the **** out of my car?

 

That's exactly right. Then follow with some dry sandpaper (preferrably 800 grit).



















You never apply excessive forces to your paint. You want to apply a clay lubricant or soapy lubricant very liberally on clean paint, and then gently glide the clay over the area (2' x 2'). Check the clay often, and it if gets contaminated, fold and knead the clay until a clean area is exposed. If you drop it, throw it away. It's best to divide the bar in a few pieces.

 

Purchase the clay bar from your local auto store along with some mothers california gold showtime. Spray the Showtime on the car in sections and then rub the claybar against your paint to remove all imperfections.

After you have finished using the claybar you will have a filmy looking residue from the showtime... Dont worry this is normal.

You then take a wax pad and remove the residue from the paint. After removing the residue from the paint you then apply your favorite car wax using the famous wax-on, wax-off method. Let the wax dry and then remove using the other side of the wax pad.

Your paint should be both shiny and smooth.

whoops i was doing it when it was dry lol.... guess that explains my frustrations

 

A little soap and water is all you need to make the clay bar slide, you do not have to go and purchase a detailer spray (doing so is really a waste of money and product)

There are only a couple of different types of claybars. Mother's and Zaino are the same.

 

Or you could just rewash your car, there is plenty of soap on it at this point.
