My car got rearended. The guy only scuffed it, is there something that would take this out? its a scuff on plastic paneling

 

Pics would help. Try some goo gone or some 800 gritt wet sand paper. if you go the sanding route be prepaired to polish it with a buffer.

do you have a buffer or poligher of any kind? my suggestion would be 2000 grit wet sand (lightly) then polish with something like a porter cable 7424

well it can still be done without a buffer, just gonna take a little longer. what have you tried so far? try a clay bar first. if that doesnt work then go to the 2000 grit wet sanding. just keep it very wet, a spray bottle will be good just keep spraying while your sanding. then use something like a Meguires deep crystal polish. without a buffer you'll just have to use a little pressure on the polish applicator.

 

Same idea, although i'd hit it with some 1200 grit then use a rubbing compound like 3M Medium Cut compound and a good foam polishing pad.

Little heavier duty stuff because he's doing it by hand.
