Scratch in polished aluminum wheel
Scratch in polished aluminum wheel
Had my Smoothie 2's on less than a week and picked up a scratch...
Does anybody know if you can get rid of the scratch by sanding, grinding, whatever, and then rebuffing to a polish? These are polished aluminum and not clear coated wheels. Man I hope this doesnt happen often.
Thanks

Re: Scratch in polished aluminum wheel
LOTS AND LOTS of polishing. Try finding a medium grade polish and do mutiple coats of that followed by some mothers billet polish. I had to polish mine from January till April guys that guy before me never polished them. There were alot of scratches and the repetative polishing took almost all of them out. What ever you do, do not get a re-surfacing kit because it will take them back to raw aluminum and i made the mistake of doing that to one of mine. I took about a month and a half to get the finish back.
