This sucks, i HATE sap with a passion. Prob the worst thing that can get on your car, i seriously almost ran out of my garage with an axe and started hackin down the tree but i calmed down a little bit, besides i don't want it to fall on my house.

Anyway, the point is sap is on my vinyl stripes. I rubbed it with instant detailer and a rag, got most of it off. However, the vinyl has a dark spot where the sap was sittin. So i decided to try a bit of polishing compound however i rubbed it a bit and checked the rag, yep, it was orange so my vinyl is coming off with the compound. I'm thinking just buying sap remover and trying it on the vinyl, what is the best brand that you guys recomend?? Thanks.

EDIT: got the SAP of with alcohol, . However, the vinyl still has a slight discoloration. Can sap mar a finish like that?!

 

I would have started with a clay bar....
