S-100 and Pigsnot......?

Fellas,

I used the search feature and found all this positive feedback on S-100 so I went to my local Harley Davidson dealer and checked it out. It's a very small jar of white hard paste wax. There was really no smell to the S-100 as I did open it. The guy who works there told me "we sell a lot of that stuff(S-100)". I also saw some new wax called "Pigsnot" in a small sliver aluminum bottle. They have a website at www.pigsnot.com and the sales guy said they(pigsnot) sell like "hotcakes". I opened up a bottle and tried it on a peice of chrome and it does the job. It smells pretty good too. The S-100 goes for $15.00 bux and the Pigsnot about the same-not cheap!

So what's the deal with this S-100 and Pigsnot?

My questions are........

-- I own a Suzuki GSXR sportbike motorcycle and I'm looking for a wax or polymer to use on my bike. My bike has colored plastic fairings with sticker decals on th side so I DON'T WANT ANYTHING ABRASIVE. I was thinking Zaino or Meg's #7 then #26 or...... maybe the Honda Pro polish cleaner/protector-but I think this has Petroleum distillates....?

-- My Corbin leather seat.......Zaino leather cleaner/conditioner then 303?

-- My custom Arai helmet..... 303?

-- S-100 on my Camaro SS F-body? Or is zaino or Meg's #7/#26 just as good?

-- Pigsnot...... what the hell is in it and is it recomended?

THANKS A MILLION!

I've bought both the S100 wax and their S100 precleaner. They are good products, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them instead of the Meguiar's. The #7/#26 routine gets quite old for the level of shine and/or protection you get out if it. The S100 is MUCH easier to use, it's nonabrasive (the wax anyway), and the shine/slickness is impressive. The durability is about average as far as any carnauba goes. Basically, for carnauba waxes the S100 is a good deal. I like S100 and Blitz wax for the ease of use/price/durability/and shine for carnauba waxes, and they are nonabrasive which is a must IMO. The Meguiar's products are very "solventy" which I don't feel is very paint friendly (or human friendly for that matter). I just don't use much Meguair's anymore, except for the occasional prep product like a swirl remover or cleaner.

However, I will always use Zaino for its protective qualities and paint friendliness on my finish. The shine is the added bonus really. For your Camaro I'd go with Zaino hands down. Having used tons of the Meguiar's #7 and #26 in the past, it's really no contest. The S100 would look good too, but will not protect a finish as well as Zaino. S100 vs Meguiar's wax though and I'll take the S100 any day. It's up to you...Zaino will protect the best, no question, but maybe you'd like the shine of the others. Of course, the Z shine "ain't no slouch either!"

As for the PigStuff....never have found a need or want to try it, so can't comment. For the leather or vinyl, use a good quality product like 303, Zaino, etc...
