Rubber in wheel well & quarter panel

Hey guys, I went to the track yesterday and after some tire-spinning, I have rubber all over my wheel well and on the quarter panel. I've heard bug & tar remover would help remove this...I've scrubbed all afternoon and pretty much went through a whole bottle of it...it won't come off. It seems too thick(the rubber). Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get this off in a way that won't damage the paint(and whatever material the wheel well is made from)? Thanks, and I'll know better next time to put some burnout guard before I run.

Here's some pics to show you what I'm talking about:

These were taken before I was able to get a little bit off. But the rest is still on there for the most part.

Try some WD40.

Would WD40 be bad for the paint?

WD40 won't harm the paint. On rubber I personally use DP Exterior Surface Cleaner from www.autogeek.net and it takes it right off. It's fairly cheap and pretty powerful, so you can dilute it as well.

WD40 is the ticket! I used it for the first time last year.
