Rubber Removal from rear fenders

Took the car to the track and after a few burnouts got rubber all over the fenders. Was able to scrub most of it off but some of it just sticks like crazy. Anyone use anything special to get it off? What about some sort of tape to prevent it from happening the next time I go?

I'd vote against the tape idea - I tried clear duct tape on the Ranger and it only took paint with it when I peeled it off.

As far as the rubber - have you tried a clay bar?

Haven't clay barred it yet. Only scrubbed it down with soap and a sponge which turned the sponge nice and black.

Next time spray the quarter down with Pam cooking spray. Or cover it with 'Press and Seal'.

use all purpose or de geaser to get the rubber off. The PAM is good if you use it before you hit the racetrack.

I soak it for 10 min or so with the aerosol bug/tar remover, wipe, and repeat. Softens it pretty well. Spray more on & switch to clean towel frequently as you go to keep it wet, so the goo doesn't smear.

I second the bug/tar remover, then try clay bar should work for you pretty good. Might take a while but it should come off!

if you wax the area before hand its real easy to get off. But the blue or light green painters/bodyshop tape is a good idea. Totally safe and you only have to peel off the tape when done.

The tape should be available an any good autoparts store. And i dont mean autozone. They dont have ****.
