removing water spots on paint and windows

i see a lot of cars that have water spots on their cars and on the windows. i can not get them off. i have used clay bars and wax on the paint. on the windows we have tried wax, most all glass cleaners, rubbing compound, etc.

i think the problem is from water that isnt' the cleanest. however i can not help what comes out of the hose. i know i could try a mr clean auto dry but i don't want to waste the time useing that....

maybe a PC will work?

Re: removing water spots on paint and windows

I have been useing that Mr Clean auto dry since it came out. In my past houses we've had bad problems with hard water and i found out that this is the only thing that will combat them. What i do is wash it and pull it into the garage for the final spot-free rinse. It dries without spots and looks great, even with no coats of wax on it.

On the windows try vinegar mixed with windex. ON the paint try a buffer with some good polish/wax or 39009 3M rubbing compound followed by some wax.
