Re: red cars
The key to my finish (and any good finish) is proper prep work. I claybar and polish (abrasive) my car once or twice a year to remove any swirls or other defects. That is the most important factor.
Re: red cars
My '96 SS after a clay bar job and full complement of Zaino products.

Re: red cars

could probly be better if i could find some good polish to get out the swirls left from the buffing, but it looks pretty good anyway.. gonna try some zaino when the weather gets nicer
(i use Zymol cleaner wax right now)

I just bought it late last summer and haven't had a chance to really do it up right. When those pics were taken, it only had a fresh coat of Meguiars NXT wax. This spring, when I get it back out (hopefully soon), I'll claybar it and use Meguiars Medalion paint cleaner, and top it off with either gold class or NXT.(I haven't decided which I like better yet.)
