Preventing Lovebug Smears

I live in florida and this time of year lovebugs are a pain... i was wondering if anyone had any good remedies to lower the smears or something that you can put on the nose/hood so that they will come off easier when you wash the car without having any effects to your paintjob...Thanks!

You may have to resort to a clay bar to remove the bugs.

You can't let them sit on there. The acid from their splats will put a crater in your paint in a VERY short time. Remove them ASAP with a quick detailer spray. Be careful not to grind them into the paint when wiping them off. Aside from that, use protection early and protect it often. Use something that will last like a synthic polymer sealer. I'm a Zaino man myself, but use what you like. Just use something.

Soak them in WD40 and them rinse them off with a 2000-3000 psi pressure washer with a 15-25 degree fan angle setting from a couple feet away. Promise there'll be not a hint of love bugs left and very minimal effort.
