Ok, i have a 96 silver Z and i live in an apartment building that has no hose so I have to go to a do it yourself car wash to wash car. And my car does get pretty dirty so how am I supposed to get a good wash if i shouldn't use the brushes there? I mean to get a bucket there would take forever and waste a lot of time and money. Also there is a big sign there that says no bucket washing. Anyone have any ideas on how i can get a good wash without using the brushes?

Well..you could take a wash mitt with you and wipe the car after you spray the soap on. Then when your done with the mitt just put it in a plastic bag so it doesn't get your interior all wet. Just make sure you spray the mitt off with the powerwasher every few panels so you don't stratch your paint with dirt picked up.

 

I used to bucket wash my Camaro and Impala at the local car wash all the time. Just go when it's not crowded and nobody will hassle you. Yeah it takes longer, but it doesn't cost much. I only fed the machine at the beginning to get the car wet and then at the end to wash off the soap. My car wash even had a sink so I could keep my bucket water fresh. Usually only cost me 2-3 bucks to wash my car there. Then pull over to the vacuum area, put on some tunes, and dry off the car. I usually did the Zaino treatment in my apartment parking lot though so I could go watch TV while it dried.
