Pressure washer to wash my car when lazy?
Pressure washer to wash my car when lazy?
I just got a 2600psi Karcher 6hp honda-power pressure washer with a nice 30 foot extension hose and a series of attachments that range from zero degrees to 65 degrees to allow to vary the relative pressure coming out. I pressure washed my GS4 and 4Runner the other day with the 25 degree attachment from a reasonable distance away. It was pretty damn nice... got rid of a lot of the bugs and all of the larger dirt stains, but after everything dried there was still a lot of water spot looking areas with dirt built up in them. I see zep sells a car wash concentrate specifically for used in-line with pressure washers. I wonder if I used that if it would get it clean enough for me to be happy with it? The only other question then is, as long as I'm careful and don't go with anything higher pressure than the 25 degree attachment and don't get but within a few feet of the vehicle, is this safe, and will Zaino stand up to it?
I don't plan on doing this all the time, but as is I only tend to wash my cars about every 4-6 weeks, and tend to just do a full detail (I do the exterior one time and the interior the next time). So if I could just break out the pressure washer it wouldn't be a big deal to give them weekly inbetween baths to at least keep them somewhat clean until I had time to give them a full detail?

Re: Pressure washer to wash my car when lazy?
i dont see any problems with it just stand from a far distance away..Pressure washer works great on cleaning wheels.!! Could you try something for me, stand right next to the car with the pressure washer on full blast and have the gun directly on the paint of the car...tell me what happens
but no i shouldnt see any problems with it. heck most do-it-urself car washes use a pressure washer system

AS long as you keep the nozzle a good 12 inches+ from the car you should have no probs. This is the only means I have to wash my cars (and I have to do it after 8pm since buckets aren't exactly 'welcomed')
