polishing wheels?

polishing wheels?

i just bought TT2's and i want to polish them for the first time but i heard that if i polish them i should put a coat of wax on after is this true

just wash them every couple of weeks and polish once a month. no need for wax.

You need to wax them after you polish. Polishes eat right through the protective layer that the wheel has.

If your wheels are polished then they are bare metal, they have no protective coating. I would suggest washing with car wash once per week, using a metal polish like Wenol oncer per month, and put a coat of what ever you finish your cars paint with, wax or polish, to keep brake dust build up down.

thanks i had planned on using wenol i already had it. these were really expensive wheels so i want to make sure they stay lookin good

I'd use either Metal Magic or Mothers chrome polish. Both are great products that will yield you nice results.
