painting problem.

painting problem.

Im trying to paint a spoiler, I painted it but I got all orange peal the paint never flatened out. Should I reduce it more or reduce it less. Its hot and humid where Im at. I was using 2parts paint and 1 reducer.

Is it single stage or basecoat/clearcoat?

Or if you have enough coats on it you can just wetsand it with 1000 & 1500 grit and buff it out.

whats the fluid tip on the gun your using? if its a bigger tip it will be pushing more paint out than needed.

also how much you reduce it depends on the type of paint you use, dbu ppg is 1:1.5 and i think dupont is 1:2 not sure tho.

Its limco paint I was mixing it at 2-1 paint -reducer. The tip is 1.4

You might try adding 2-3 capfulls of reducer. I do this with to help make my clearcoat lay down better. It should work for single stage paint also.
