Hi Eric,

Welcome to the site!

Well, my personal vote for the best products would be Zaino Brothers polishes @ www.zainobros.com. You can mail order from the form or use a distributor near you that takes CC. My second choice would be Klasse, but IMO it's harder to correctly use and the shine isn't quite what I like on my car. Klasse is strictly internet order only.

If you're looking for local products only, I'd recommend Liquid Glass, Meguiar's #20, Mother's Reflections, etc...all of which are variations of polymers, with cleaners. If you want just a good shine and ease of use consider S100/P21S wax. S100 is a wipe on, wipe off wax, very easy to use, but durability and protection is not good. They also make a gloss enhancing precleaner, and both can be had for about $25 at local Harley or other cycle shops.

What's best for each person really depends on several factors, like your budget, how much work are you willing to do to keep the car looking its best, how often do you plan on waxing, your car's condition, is it garaged or kept outside, weather/environmental conditions, what kind of shine you are looking for, etc... For the money spent, protection, durability, and shine, I've found Zaino to be tops. It offers months worth of protection, shine, with very easy maintainence. Just a wash with the Z7 makes the car look like its just polished. A great Zaino starter kit might include ZFX, Z5, Z6, and Z7, but there are other options like using Z1 instead of ZFX.

If protection is a main concern, polymers are the way to go. Otherwise you can get a nice shine out of many products, some of which aren't even technically detailing products.
