Newb Question to the extreme (full repaint)
Newb Question to the extreme (full repaint)
Alright buckos, bear with me on this one...I know absolutely nothing.
My 11 year old black paint has gone to **** on my Formula and I'd like to take it to a body shop and have it redone in factory GM black. How much would it cost if I were to just give it to them unprepped and tell them to take care of everything?
Thanks in advance.

There is no way for anyone to tell you that without speaking to body shops/painters in your area.
Typically, you get what you pay for with prep and paint. I would expect to pay at least $2500. You'll get quotes from $1000-10000.

Re: Newb Question to the extreme (full repaint)
i agree....you will get quotes from $1k to $10k. There is a lot of work that goes into painting a car. Depending on how much work they actually do depends on how much you get charged. Personally I love to have no orange peel what so ever so it takes hundreds of hours wet sanding and buffing. The initial prep, body work, and final step is the time consuming part. Painting and clear coating is the easy stuff.
