I just got my car repainted black and i just wanted to know some basic do's and don'ts. Should i let it sit out in the sun, or garage it. And for how long. How long do I have to wait to wash/wax it. I wanted to try some Zanio for the first time. Any help would be much appreciated.

 

For the waxing i Think it's about 60 to 90 days after it's painted. Another little heads up, watch out for bird crap. Sounds dumb but it happened to me(I just painted mine too) if you see it clean it off. Something about it is really harsh on new paint, especially black. It can cause the paint to have minor cracks or scratch all to hell if you just wipe it off. Make sure to use glass cleaner or something. Like I said it sounds dumb but it happened to me and now I have to either buff it of re clear.

 

Yeah I had my front end/hood repainted the first week of August and I was told not to wax it for at least 60 days.

 

Zaino contains no wax, you can Zaino your car in about one or two weeks. Actually you can Zaino it right now but you might want to wait and let the paint settle to make sure you have no bubbling or other problems before you touch it. I have Zainoed a painted panel the next day after the final clear coat was applied.
