I bought meguires wax and meguires car soap. After washing my car, I put on a layer of wax, the car looks great except for the hood. It has large thin patches (kind of like fat zebra stripes) that are darker than the rest. I washed it again and put on another layer of wax. It looks the same, I can't get my hook to look good. Is this normal? Please help me out with some cleaning tips.

 

Thise stripes are the exact reason I hated the Meguiars wax. Mothers wax is a LOT better in that regard, but the shine isn't as deep. Anyway, I switched to Zaino and it's been all good after that.

Can't help ya on the streak though, I dunno why they happen but they happen with Meguiars. The streaks won't be there after a day, so don't worry. BTW, Meguiars wax loses it luster shine after like 4 days which really made me mad >:-/.

It's inportant to follow the prep and application intructions completely for the polish to work its magic.

 

You can order it direct from Zaino or contact them for the closest distributor to you.

 

Wash the car with Dawn and start over. HOPEFULLY the Dawn will take it out. It's one of the reasons I switched as well.
