The door trim is becoming to where the black underneath is coming through the paint and I see it. I have decided to just tape everything off except for the trim and do the painting myself. Can you guys tell me how I should proceed with this? Sanding,prepping,etc. Thanks

 

if you do it yourself and you don't already know how to paint, chances are that it is not going to look good. Have you have an estimate from a shop? Do you have all the necessary tools. spray gun, sanding blocks, buffer, knowledge,etc. Painting a car is not that easy, you may regret if you work your own car. I don't want to be negitive but I work in a bodyshop, i do easy tasks (sanding, buffing) and I understand what skill is needed to spray a car. Most people don't understand how hard it really is.
