Arrow My Preliminary Thoughts bout Zaino

This **** has a good shine, no doubt. I own a 96 Black Z28, so I know what it is to have a high maintainance finish. Within 2 miles there is massive construction of a train station, so there's a lot of dirt/cement flying around.

I have to dust my car with the Cali. Car Duster twice a day (no garage for me). I applied Z-3 and Z-6 the right way....Dawn wash, claybar, Z-6 etc. Good to go. The finish is so so so smooth, like a new car. Within two to three weeks, the finish doesn't feel new, in fact, the first few days right after the coating of Z3/Z5, I dusted my car as usual. The little grits don't all go away. The shine is good, but the baby butt smoothness only last me about 48 hours. Thanks a lot Zaino. Overall, I'm satisfied, but there's no way the recommended every six months of application is gonna do me good. I gotta coat the car once a month at least to maintain it.

You can use Z-6 on the paint any time you like to bring back the slickness, using Z-6 after the California Car duster is a good thing to do and what I do. Also, sounds like you are picking up a lot of debris from the construction area that can embed into the paint, you can clay the car anytime you like to remove the roughness without taking off the Zaino.

Zaino stays slick for a very long time in normal conditions as most Zaino users here will agree with. Also, you will notice that when you wash the car with Z-7 the slickness will return as the Z-7 contains the Z-2 polish. And after you wash you will notice that the paint beads water for a very long time wash after wash which is a sign that the Zaino is still present on the paint and is protecting the paint.

BTW, unless your 96 has been repainted with single stage paint, the Z-2 is the show car polish for clear coats and the Z-3 is for non clear paint. Z-3 will work fine however on the clear, Z-3 just has an additive not in the Z-2 that keeps single stage paint from oxidizing which non clear coat paint is famous for.

It's definately the construction site that's killing it. It's so bad, the Z-6 won't return the slickness, only the clay. Though I don't want to clay once a month, I got to. That embedded dirt is some industrial strength dirt, cement and all.

Maybe you should look into a car cover to protect your car while it's parked.
