Check out this article over at Edmunds.com:

http://www.edmunds.com/ownership/how...5/article.html

The first part covers cleaning and dressing the engine bay. The second half of the article ofers up some tips on prepping for a show. It's a good place to start if nothing else. Good luck!

clean the engine bay, under the hood - the actual underside, try to get under the body too. by a car duster if you don't already have one, pick up a spray on wax for quick touch ups at the show...don't let any hands touch your car during the show - nothing worse than oil streaks left by some jerks carelessness (happened to me)

other than that...have fun!

Not that I'm aware of. You might want to check over at the web site though. I know that I'm not going to do 2 shows in 2 days. I'd have to scrape all the bugs off after driving to Brownsville.

Cool Congrats!

Good job with the show!

That must have been what I saw going on at the Brother parking lot?? Drove past a couple times but didn't stop... Looked like a pretty nice turnout though.

Yup ... that was us. Unfortunately, nobody thought about the hedges.

There is a very tall hedge all around the property and you could not see the show from Hwy 64. We were on one of the busiest roads in Memphis .... and aside from the people who had a car in the show, we had a very low turnout. Nobody could see us

Hehe...I suppose you're right. The hedge did make it impossible to see most of the action. I saw plenty of pop-up tents and tops of open hoods though from the Hwy. Guess I thought there were quite a few people hehe....

Stage and Whitten might make a good place to set up a show. The restaurant on the corner is empty and there's plenty of lot next to it that's usually pretty much empty most of the time.

Is it a car club that was having the show or a general event?

It was a general event sponsored by "The Late Great Chevy's of Memphis" to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation.

There are a lot of smaller car shows coming up ... mostly at high schools. The next big event will be October 05 at Freeman Park on Bartlet Blvd / Sycamore View.

I'll be entering the '01 T/A again.
