My Fastest Detail Ever

This car belongs to the owner of local performance shop. They recently finished up this project, so he gave me a ring to clean her up. The car is an '05 C6 Corvette with a 402 stroker motor and twin turbos :nervous2: It made 840 rear wheel horsepower...before they added the methanol kit It's customers like these that I really appreciate - when he dropped it off, he said, "Do whatever you want to it." Then before he left he told me, "If you take it anywhere, make sure to give it a little gas because the clutch is a little tricky."

Exterior Process:
Optimum APC on wheels/tires/wells
NXT wash
Zaino Z18 clay
Menzerna PO85RD w/ polishing pad (really awesome polish)
Zaino Z5 x 2
Zaino Z8
Eagle One 20/20 on all glass
Zaino Z16 on tires
Armor All in wells

Interior Process:
Vacuum mats
Wipedown w/ damp MF

Re: My Fastest Detail Ever

Beautiful car! Nice detailing job as well!

I saw that you used Armor-All on the wheel wells? I use 'Stoner's Trim Shine'. Just thought I'd pass that info. along...it's a little easier just being able to spray on.

Re: My Fastest Detail Ever

Thanks!

I just spray a few shots in each well, and it does a good job of covering everything, and it's very cheap.

Thanks, Skye and Matt!

I use AA on tires quite a bit, but this was a "premium" detail

Re: My Fastest Detail Ever

Here's the important question. Did you take it for a test drive?

The motor looks 95% stock...the turbos are tucked underneath the fenders and are hard to see.

Make no mistake that this car was prepped correctly bringing the finish up to its highest. The Zaino was just the icing on the cake and the last 5-10% of a great finish.
