Mr. Clean???
Yes, I've seen the promo. And it's in stores now. I saw it and looked it over. It uses a synthetic polymer wash. It comes with the wash, and a special nozzle that holds a PUR filter that removes all mineral content from the water. Does it work? I don't know, but as time goes by, we will get some reports on it.
Its been reported on many detailing sites I have been to, it seems to have more down sides than ups, I have not used it or seen it in person but below are the down sides that I have read.
1. You seem to have to use the Mr. Clean wash that cotains some sort of dry rinse chemical that one detailer enthusiast said left a film on his paint work. Have to keep buying this special car wash to get it to work the way the unit is designed which leaves you hung out not being able to use your favorite car wash you are using now.
2. The filter gets dirty quickly and is only good for a few washings.
3. The actual final rinse using the purified water (you DO NOT use the purified water until the very end of the washing cycle, to rinse off the majority of the soap you use unfiltered water running thru the unit) comes out in a **** poor very weak stream that takes longer to run over the entire surface of the car compared to the time it takes to dry it the normal way by hand.
4. Leaving the water beads on the car to dry with out spots prevents you from using your detailer spray after the wash for quite a while why the car drys on its own....

My brother got it and gave it a try-I would say for some people its worth it and a decent idea.
He put it on a friends Ford F150 then walked away and it dried in about 15 minutes. I went outside and took a look-it was a black truck and I didnt see any streaks-it looked real good.
I'd say for most people in here who are nuts about their cars and how it looks it probably isn't worth it-but for people who dont care as much (like my brother) it is worth it-but he only used it once. Looks like they sell it to you cheap and then keep you coming back by buying the soap and filters, etc-I dont think the soap will last long at all.

i know the PUR water filter that we have in our house on the faucet, comes out in a little stream...you couldnt wash your hands in it really...so i'm sure it would take a ton of PSI from the hose, to have to go through the filter first...hmm..i'm not sure, if it actaully works i may give it a try. There is nothing worse, than washing your car, and while your still washing it, parts that you have just washed, are drying and getting water spots on there..and plus..everyone with T-tops knows, how much of a pain in the *** it is to try and get water spots off of all that glass, and the back hatch..It may be worth it..but than again, takin my car down the highway at 95 MPH to "dry it off" wouldnt be an exscuse anymore

I tried it out today, and its really not bad at all, I like it a lot. When you get the beginner package, about 20 bucks, you get 3 uses out of it, then it says that you go get the refills which will last you about 10 uses..im giving it 7 or 8 because im **** with my car. The only thing is I guess I didnt get in the crevases like under the rear lights, side mirrors etc.. that leak water even when done drying, they left a little trail of water which I just whiped down, It looks real clean and the soap does a good job on taking grease and grime off and leaving wax on. For 20 bucks its definately worth a try, and I will definately use this thing for a while.
Ok, I used the mr. clean once again, this would be my second time, it sucked, left my car looking like I had just let it sit after hosing it off with regular water, the kit says that you can use the starter 3 times and my second use sucks. I guess its back to the old way.
